Staying Healthy and On Your Feet: Free fall prevention education events
Balance, strength, and overall health can change as you age, putting you at risk for falling.
Even a single fall increases your future risk of falling again and
can lead to a loss of independence. However, falls do not always come with aging.
Thre are many things you can do to reduce your chance of falling.
With the right tools, you can take steps to stay as healthy as possible
and on your feet.

Patriot Hall Grand Opening
Patriot Hall Grand Opening Tuesday, September 19, 5 pm - 8 pm
Now available: walking track, cardio room, weight room. Cost: $60/quarter (that's $20/month)
for ages 62+ and Veterans, $99/quarter normally. Beautiful state-of-the-art building and equipment,
and a view that is hard to match.

Angora Hiking Club recently elected the Club Officers for 2017:
President, Nguyen Trung, Seaside;
Vice President, Bob Westerberg, Astoria;
Secretary, Phuong Vanhorn, Astoria;
Treasurer, Aletha Westerberg, Astoria;
Chief Guide, Bill Herold, Astoria.
The election was held at the Fall Potluck hosted by a new member, George Heintz. New business included appointing a task force to prepare for the centennial celebration of the club in 2020. Members are from Clatsop and Pacific Counties.
There was also a special recognition of members who reached their 90th birthdays. They were Ella Hill, Astoria, and Jim Hudson, Hammond.
The next scheduled event is the Christmas Party, December 9 and Annual Hike planning has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 8, 2017. Membership is open to the public being 18 years or older. The club is dedicated to encouraging walking, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. Annual dues of $7.00 are due January 1st.
